Baal - The Case for Evil
The Recovered Coordinate: Why Baal is the West’s Forgotten Tao

For over thirty years, the "miracle" of the Japanese language—a 50-sound, 8-bit communication system that nonetheless built a technological empire—has acted as my "Satori" (Enlightenment).

It forced me to look back at my own Western heritage with a kind of linguistic violence, scraping away the "sanitized" rust of our dictionaries to see what was truly there. What I found beneath the mist of history was not a monster, but a missing principle: Baal is the Western Tao.

1. The Symmetry of the Storm

In the East, the Tao is an interface—a circle containing two opposing drops, each "infected" by the other. It is not a moral drama; it is a systemic necessity where good and evil, life and death, are simply "voltages" (turns) required for a complete "circuit" (circle).

In the West, Baal originally occupied this exact functional space. Long before he was depicted as a "bloody red demon," Baal was the god of the storm and fertility—a "Lord" of the heights (high places) who held the lightning bolt.

Like the Tao, Baal represented the "dual voltage" of reality. He was the energy that could both grow the grain and burn the field—a dynamic, self-balancing engine of the earthly cosmos.

2. The Diabolical Splitting

We have been trained to fear the word "diabolical", but let us apply a bit of etymological "ballistics". The term diabal literally suggests a "double Baal"—a Baal split into two poles, "a second Baal".

Our current "monotheistic" civilization is an enantiodromic trap. We have been forced into a "sanitized cage" where we are only permitted to acknowledge and follow the "Good" pole, the good shepherd. By removing the "Evil" pole (the negative grounding energy), we have become unbalanced (un-baal-ed), floating in a "synonymy of reassurance". The original nature of Baal was, so, not a threat; it was the complete grammar of the divine, the movement through which unity expresses itself via a tension of sort.

3. The Monopoly of the "Dual Voltage"

Why was this Western Tao forgotten? My research points to a "genius" Mesopotamian family—the descendants of Shem (the Semites). When they descended into Canaan, they discovered and understood the "ballistic" rituals of Baal—the Western "Taoist-like" intuition that reality is dual, dynamic and in tension.

They performed a masterstroke of strategy: they monopolized this Tao. They "sanitized" the masses by injecting a monotheistic religion that punishes evil, while they—the elite "clergy"—kept this "dual voltage" capability for themselves. They even became "vaccinated" against evil by practicing it internally within their own clans even through endogenous sacrificial rites, allowing them to manage the world with a "ferocity of intellect" that we, the "sanitized" crowds, cannot even comprehend.

4. From "Hills and Bolts" to "Global" Enclosure

The trajectory of this principle is embedded in our words.

We live in a world where the "Crown" (Corona)—the circle of power—stands above the "clowns" (the crowd/clods of earth). We are "captives" of a narrative throw we do not see, inhabitants of a "Matrix" (womb, vault, Baal) that multiplies narratives to keep us in magical suspension.

5. Reclaiming Maturity

To recover Baal is not to become "bad" in a petty sense, but to achieve psychic survival. It is about reclaiming the "forbidden" coordinate—the ability to operate with both benevolence and severity.

The Western Tao is the acknowledgment that conflict is not a "degeneration" but an engine. By forgiving the "D-evil" (Dia-baal) and questioning the "Good" that has been sold to us, we "remove the removals". We must stop being "orphans of the world" and turn our "bonsai" families back into even tri-baal—units capable of assuming the "dual voltage" of reality once more, and for good.

Only when we reconcile with the tension of opposites can the West move past its infantile alphabetical moralism and regain its place in the dynamic, ballistic... ball of the cosmos.
